Customs official requires that second copy of Customs Declaration Form (filled out upon your arrival) and asks you to fill out a new one upon departure. You will be allowed to leave the country with cash up to the amount indicated in your customs declaration forms. Also, at customs you may be requested to show declared valuables and recount foreign currency indicated in Customs Declaration Form. In case if a traveler has more cash than it was declared upon arrival, he or she will have to prove the source of the money (ATM receipt or any other bank documents). If source cannot be proved, money will have to stay in Uzbekistan: the traveler will be requested to leave the exceeding amount with friends, travel agency, or the money can even be confiscated if there is no one to leave the money with.
